Sala 13 is a non-profit organization that was born in Berga on 2009. It was founded by a group of young entrepreneurs from Berga that had a main common interest: cinema. Our main activity is Sintetitza, the Pyrenees International Short Film Festival.

Sintetitza is a short film festival that is held in city of Berga every September, and just as the organization, it was born in 2009. The first edition was very successful amongst the attendees, and showed productions arrived from many different parts of the world. In line with many other festivals, both in cinema and other disciplines, the objective of Sintetitza is not only to be a traditional competition, but to educate the audience and promote the area of short films, which is usually forgotten by the movie industry. Every year, a series of activities (conferences, meetings, lectures...) will be held, in order to aid the audience to familiarise with this type of cinematographic productions.

Sala 13 and the Sintetitza festival emerged from these two aspects, the recreational and the educational, with the objective of sharing our passion for this fascinating world with as many people as possible.
